About
Harvest Information
Our goal is to harvest bucks at least 4.5 years of age. Although this is sometimes hard to judge, a combination of body weight, frame, antler mass, and photos can help us get very close in determining age. We typically harvest more does than bucks and average seeing as many bucks as does when hunting. Keeping the buck/doe ratio as close as possible to 1:1 makes the rut even more intense.
Most of our properties have very healthy turkey populations with little hunting pressure. We also have an abundance of waterfowl on some tracts. We have predators such as coyotes, fox, bobcats and hawks. We do not have any hog populations on any of our property. Some tracts have stocked bass lakes managed for trophy bass. 10 lb plus bass are caught fairly often.
